 The Balblair is famous for its fruity, rich, fullbody, sulphury whisky. Fruits tend to be exotic, mango and pineapple, while smells of butterscotch and toffee are quite common. Is bottled in one of the most stylish and modern bottles of Scotch whisky, inspired by the nearby Pictish stone Clach Biorach.

Tasting Notes: By Tasos Protopapas

Nose: Fresh aromas of blooming flowers, lots of fruit, incense, coconut,pineapple,and cinnamon.

Palate: Rich,Sweet-Creamy. Fruitcake, melon, caramel, green herbs, with hints of smoke.

Finish:  Long, crisp and spicy.

One of the first Balblair Vintages ever released, Balblair 1997 was launched in March 2007. Although stock of this special Vintage left our warehouses long ago, join the conversation on The Gathering Place and let us know if you were lucky enough to enjoy this stunning dram.

Appearance: Balblair 1997 is subtly amber in appearance with rose-golden highlights.

Aroma: On the nose, the American oak barrels used in the distillate's maturation, produce an inviting, spicy fragrance.

Palate: Hints of oak, spice and raisin combine with the sweetness of vanilla.

Finish: A long-lingering, creamy smooth finish.
